Nowruz: Persian New Year

Celebrate the beginning of spring with Nowruz, Persian New Year. The official celebration begins at the exact moment that winter changes to spring, and continues for several weeks. Friends and family gather to exchange gifts and feast on symbolic dishes such as reshteh, a mixed-bean and noodle soup “associated with new beginnings and good fortune."
