What do you get when you mix ranch dressing with blue cheese dressing and add bacon? Bacon–Blue Cheese Ranch. Our most popular dressing at BarBacon is great drizzled on the Wedge Salad, served alongside a platter of chicken wings, or used as a base for potato salad or coleslaw.

  • 1 cup (240 ml) sour cream
  • ½ cup (120 ml) store-bought mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 4 ounces (115 g) blue cheese (such as Maytag or Cabrales), crumbled
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill
  • 4 ounces (115 g) thin-sliced bacon, cooked until crisp and chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

In a blender, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, half of the cheese, the dill, bacon, and pepper and blend until smooth.

Pour the mixture into a bowl and fold in the remaining cheese. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. The dressing will keep, tightly covered in the refrigerator, for up to 3 days.
