  • 1 cup (240 ml) pure maple syrup, preferably Grade B
  • Zest of 1 large navel orange (see Note)
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary


In a small saucepan, combine the syrup, zest, and rosemary and bring to a simmer over low heat. Cover, remove from the heat, and let steep for 30 minutes. Remove the zest and rosemary and reheat before serving, if needed.
