Ingredients

  • 6 large, fragrant, dark red roses
  • 1 teaspoon gum arabic
  • 1 measure of vodka

Method

Separate the rose petals. Dissolve the gum arabic in the vodka. Brush both sides of each rose petal with this solution, then dust with sugar. Leave to dry overnight on a foil-lined tray in a warm place (such as the airing cupboard). Keep in an airtight container for up to a week.
