Ingredients

  • 4 pounds carp
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 medium-sized onions, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ pound green peppers
  • 1 medium-sized tomato

Method

  1. Clean the carp, cut into about 12 pieces, and salt.
  2. Fry onions in lard. Sprinkle with paprika and add a little water.
  3. Cut each green pepper into 4 pieces, and peel and slice the tomato. Add to the stew and bring to a boil. Cook for 20 minutes.
  4. Place pieces of carp in the pot and cook for 5 to 8 minutes, or until done. It takes very little time for fish to cook.
