To 1 litre (1¾ pt or 4½ U.S. cups) very thick Mayonnaise add 2 dl (7 fl oz or ⅞ U.S. cup) sour cream, the juice of ½ a lemon, a pinch of chopped fennel and 2 tbs Derby Sauce.

This sauce is mainly served with cold meat.
