  • 2–3 tomatoes
  • 2–3 pieces sugar
  • 1 spoon flour
  • 1–2 spoons butter


    Slice 2–3 very ripe, rather large tomatoes and discard the seeds. Stew the tomatoes in butter, pouring on bouillon, rub them through a fine sieve, and add sugar. Mix 1 spoon butter with 1 spoon flour, add the tomatoes and salt, and dilute as necessary with bouillon. Boil thoroughly and pour over beef, boiled lamb, boiled turkey, or chicken.
