  • 2 glasses cream, milk, or sour cream
  • 3–4 pieces sugar

Method

Bring to a boil 2 glasses cream or whole milk mixed with sugar. Add, if desired, ½ vershok vanilla, shaved and tied in a cloth, or cinnamon. Beat in 5 egg yolks and mix thoroughly. Place on top of the stove, stirring, until thickened, but do not boil. Strain and pour over a pudding or caulifl
