(A Greek pastry.) Prepare a rather thick dough from 2 eggs, 2 egg shells of water, and approximately 1½ lbs flour. Roll out very thinly into a long strip and spread the entire surface with the following mixture: Scald 1 lb sweet almonds and 2 lbs walnuts with boiling water and skin the nutmeats. Pound fine, pouring in just a little water, dilute with ½ lb good lime honey, and stir to make a thick mixture. Roll the dough into a tube that resembles a long sausage. Place in a skillet greased with 1 spoon butter, wrapping the pastry tightly into a coil. Spread 1 spoon butter on top, sprinkle on 1 spoon fine sugar, and bake in the oven.
