Ingredients

  • 3 glasses cream
  • 1 full glass sugar, or lb
  • 3–4 egg yolks
  • (½ vershok vanilla bean)
  • about 3 lbs salt
  • 4 pieces sugar

Method

Caramelize the sugar, that is, grind 3–4 pieces sugar, pour onto a small skillet, add 1 teaspoon water, and heat on top of the stove. When the sugar darkens, pour in 2 spoons cream and bring to a boil. Mix with the remaining cream and the egg yolks beaten until white with sugar. Stir on top of the stove until it thickens, etc.
