Ingredients

  • ¼ lb chocolate
  • ¾ glass sweet almonds
  • 10 bitter almonds
  • 3 glasses milk or cream
  • lb sugar
  • 10 sheets gelatin
  • ½ vershok vanilla bean or more may be added

Method

Grate lb chocolate, pour into a saucepan, and stir over the fire until it darkens. Prepare almond milk from ¼ lb sweet almonds, 10 bitter almonds, and 3 glasses milk. Pour the milk into the chocolate, strain, and sprinkle on lb sugar. Add ½ glass gelatin, then pile into a mold and set on ice.
