Method

Finely chop lb blanched sweet almonds, dry them, and add lb fine sugar, 2 spoons orange-flower water, and 2 beaten egg whites. Mix everything together, press out wreaths from a tin cookie press (iz zhestjannoj formy)* onto a baking sheet greased with white [bees’] wax, and set in the oven.

*Since Molokhovets did not specify the type of “tin form, ” I am assuming that she meant a cookie press such as is used for making spritz cookies.
