Method

Beat 30 egg yolks until white with 1 lb, or 2 glasses, sugar. Gradually add 1 lb grated chocolate, another lb, or 2 glasses, sugar, 1 ground, sieved vanilla bean, and ¾ glass sieved rye rusk crumbs. Beat until smooth. When the mixture thickens and whitens, add 30 beaten egg whites and sprinkle on nearly glass potato flour. Pour into a pan and bake. (For a small baba, use only ⅓ the indicated proportions.)
