Method

Wipe the plums thoroughly with a towel, make an incision in them carefully to remove the stones, and pack the plums in a jar. Cover with thick, cooled syrup, prepared from 1 glass water and 1 lb sugar for each lb of plums. Wrap the jar with a bladder and boil it for 25 minutes, but it is better to cook these plums longer in the oven.
