Remove the peel from 8 oranges and use for preparing candied orange peel. Divide each orange into several pieces and remove the seeds. Take another 2 oranges and cut them into several pieces, removing the seeds but not the peels. Place these 10 oranges in a stoneware bowl, pour on 5 lbs of fine sugar, and pound with a wooden pestle until the mixture turns into a watery mass, more or less. Transfer everything to a glass jar and wrap with a bladder. To make a drink, use 1 small spoon of this orange mixture for 1 glass water.
