  • 1 standard can peaches, packed in light syrup
  • 1 standard can pears, packed in light syrup
  • 1 standard can apricots, packed in

Method

  1. Drain all juices from the fruits into a kettle and add the cinnamon stick, cloves, ginger root, allspice, and cardamom pods.
  2. Boil rapidly until reduced to about cups and add the brown sugar (less for heavy syrup) and vinegar.
  3. Simmer 5 minutes, covered. Add
