In Nepal, where this unusual drink comes from, tamarind-mint tea is made by steeping the ingredients in hot water and then straining the tea, a method that works well for us. But here at home, in the summer, we like to make it as sun tea, simply combining all the ingredients in a gallon jar and then putting the tea out in the sun for a few hours until it’s ready.
