  • About

  • 3 pounds top round steak, inches thick
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 large garlic clove, finely minced
  • ¼ teaspoon dried orégano
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

    1. Pound the steak on both sides with the edge of a plate or with a wooden mallet.

    2. Combine the lime juice, oil, onion, salt, pepper, garlic and orégano; pour over the steak. Allow to marinate for one to two hours.

    3. Preheat broiler or prepare a bed of hot charcoal.

    4. Broil the steak three to four inches from the source of heat for five or six minutes on each side, or until the desired doneness is reached. Mix the butter and parsley and pour on the steak.
