We love to make homemade desserts for our kids. This is an easy weeknight treat for those nice summer nights when strawberries are at their peak. You can also freeze the berries in the summertime, and use them year-round.


  • 2 mangoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Juice of 1 lime, plus wedges for garnish
  • ½ cup good-quality honey
  • Mint leaves, for garnish


Combine the mangoes, strawberries, lime juice, and honey in a food processor and puree until smooth. Add 8 cups crushed ice and process until finely chopped and smooth. Scoop out into serving bowls and serve garnished with mint leaves.
