My mother-in-law, Marjorie Clark, first made an appearance in my book Tyler’s Ultimate with her potato salad recipe. This is her other signature dish, one we enjoy during the summer at our family cookouts.

  • 1 head cauliflower 1 head broccoli
  • 1 bunch scallions, cut into ¼-inch slices
  • 2 cups chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 bunch radishes, trimmed and quartered
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Break the cauliflower and broccoli heads into small florets and slice them into small chunks. Place them in a large bowl and add the scallions, parsley, onions, and radishes.

In a separate bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, mustard, and pepper. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
