Poppy seeds

The seeds of the poppy flower have a pleasantly nutty flavour and aroma. There are two main types: white/yellow and bluish-grey. They are used in salad dressings, pastries, cakes, buns and breads and vegetable and egg dishes, and make an attractive garnish for cheese dishes and snack foods.
