There are lots of inexpensive sheet-metal storage sheds on the market, and custom units are also available. Some of these are attractive, but most of them are merely functional. In any case, these sheds can be used for smoking or be easily modified to do so. Most people want to put the sheds on concrete slabs, but this is not a good choice if you plan to generate smoke from a wood fire. Put the shed either directly on the ground or perhaps on concrete footers, leaving dirt in the center. If these units are too tightly constructed to allow the smoke to escape properly, drill holes in the walls just under the overhang, if there is an over-hang. You can also install adjustable vents and possibly even ridge vents on some units.
