Shopping for cooking supplies and accessories in Paris is just as fun as scouring the city’s markets for fresh ingredients. A selection of favorite shops is home to French-made products and kitchen essentials. During the holiday season, G Detou (58 rue Tiquetonne, 2nd arrondissement) is filled with boxes of chocolates and other standards for Christmas and New Year’s parties. Featured chocolatiers include Normandy-based Michel Cluizel and Southern France native Chocolat Weiss. Regional French products such as Calissons d’Aix from Provence and sea salt caramels from Brittany bring loyal customers to this cozy boutique, but it is the more foreign fare that brings expats from around the city.
