Though most people are aware that a vegetarian diet is a healthy one, there are underlying anxieties about some nutritional aspects of daily meals, especially if you have a large family with babies, young children and perhaps elderly members all living under one roof. Of course, these worries exist if you are living alone, but they can seem excessive in a large family. So how does one achieve a balanced vegetarian diet without a great deal of hassle and chore?
One of the most constant worries is whether the vegetarian gets enough protein without animal foods. The answer is yes. Even the most spartan of vegetarians can get sufficient protein from grains, legumes and nuts, while more sybaritic vegetarians like myself will have it in eggs and dairy products, tofu, sesame and a hundred other delicacies and combinations.
