Wild blueberries are tremendously flavorful thanks to their antioxidant-rich skin. My recipe uses a modest amount of sugar to let the berries shine and plenty of lemon juice for brightness. Since wild blueberries have more skin and less flesh than their conventional cousins, they require less starch to thicken. That said, if you cut this pie while it’s hot, expect a deluge of beautiful purple juice!
This filling is a nice option for a lattice pie, because of the juiciness and beauti
