Ben is a cook, writer, and restaurant consultant. He entered the world of food as an untrained chef, working his way up to head chef within his first four years in the industry. In this time he worked at Rochelle Canteen and The Dock Kitchen before opening LeCoq as Head Chef. Ben is the co-author of Max's Sandwich Book, which was published in 2018 and was a Sunday Times Top Ten Bestseller. He has written a recipe column for the Guardian, articles for Root & Bone magazine, has ghost written recipes for leading columns in both the Guardian and the Telegraph, as well as contributing, testing and styling for several cookery books, including Alex Hely-Hutchinson's 26 Grains. In summer 2018, he started working with brands, such as Gaviscon and Oatly, on social media campaigns, developing recipes and food styling.
