Although Carlos López’s entrance into the world of hospitality was almost by chance, his passion for cooking began at a very young age. While studying a master’s degree in analysis and programming, he decided to start working delivering pizzas at a well- known American company. Just three months after he started, he was offered a job as shift supervisor, a change that allowed him to discover that working in contact with the public was something that he truly enjoyed. At this company he continued to be promoted, becoming one of the youngest store managers in Spain.
After holding other positions of responsibility in different companies in the hotel and restaurant sector, López decided to take a chance on his passion and went on studying Spanish Cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu Madrid. He completed internships at the 1 Michelin-star Tierra and the 2 Michelin-star Casa Marcial. He currently works with the renowned Chef Rodrigo de la Calle as the head of operations of his restaurants.
