Chef Dato’ Fazley Yaakob started at Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia in 2013 and completed his Diplôme de Pâtisserie in Paris later that same year. He has since gone on to win many awards including the Most Influential Young Entrepreneur and Special Talent Entrepreneur Award awarded by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia – and his Malaysian French fusion cookbook My Sucre Story won first prize at the TV Outside Europe category at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in May 2016. He is also a graduate of the Hautes Etudes du Goût, de la Gastronomie et des Arts de la Table (DUGGAT) programme from Le Cordon Bleu in partnership with the University of Reims, Champagne-Ardenne. Interestingly, before Fazley became a chef, he was an accomplished singer with many albums and awards under his belt.
