Journalist and chef

From 1990 to 2009, Jenifer Lang was the managing director of the Café des Artistes in New York City. She was the first woman cook in the kitchens of New York’s famous 21 Club restaurant. Jenifer is an experienced journalist who has worked at CBS News, Family Circle and the Washington Post and appeared on Today, Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kelly, CNN and the Food Network. She is the author of TASTINGS: The Best from Ketchup to Caviar, which received a prestigious Tastemaker award. Jenifer was the American editor for the penultimate edition of Larousse Gastronomique. Her latest book on the subject of feeding children is titled JENIFER LANG COOKS FOR KIDS: 153 Recipes and Ideas for Good Food That Kids Love to Eat. She also served as an assistant to Marcella Hazan in Bologna, Italy. Jenifer received her culinary training at the Culinary Institute of America. She is on the school’s Alumni Advisory Board and is on the founding board of Women Chefs and Restaurateurs. Recently she has been made a member of the Society of Fellows of the Culinary Institute of America and is a member of the board of Wellness in the Schools.
