Kittee Berns loves food. She especially loves sharing food with friends, learning about new recipes and techniques, and talking about food with anyone who cares to chat. Teff Love is her first cookbook.
She wrote the vegan cookzine Papa Tofu Loves Ethiopian Food and is the creative force behind the blog Cake Maker to the Stars. Her recipes have appeared in several books and publications, including Vegan Pizza, Vegan Pie in the Sky, The Vegan Girl’s Guide to Life, Let Gluten Freedom Ring, and Hungry Monkey.
Kittee has been an ethical vegan for over twenty-six years and a gluten-free vegan since 2008. She has over thirteen years’ experience in the natural foods industry. Besides obsessing over vegan cooking and food, Kittee enjoys thrifting, digging through estate sales, gardening, collecting vintage dishware and fabrics, and making things by hand. She currently resides in the veganopolis of Portland, Oregon, with her partner, Dazee, and their dog, Vee Seven.
