Lesego Semenya

Lesego Semenya (1982–2021) was born and raised in Soweto. While working as a process engineer, he decided to make a career change and went on to complete a Grande Diploma in Food and Wine. He went on to become one of the most prominent chefs in South Africa, winning numerous accolades over the years and being a judge on Top Chef South Africa. In 2021, the food world was shocked and saddened when Lesego Semenya lost his life as a result of COVID-19.
