Mariah Grace has always had a passion for culinary and pastry arts since the age of 8. After graduating with a Diploma in Baking and Culinary Science at Singapore Temasek Polytechnic, she returned to New Zealand and enrolled for the Le Cordon Bleu Bachelor Degree in Culinary Arts and Business. While studying, she was still working as a Head Pastry Chef at Hippopotamus Restaurant & Bar in Museum Art Hotel. Upon completion of her degree, she moved on to Sofitel Wellington as Head Pastry Chef, responsible for designing the dessert menus. After a year at Sofitel, Mariah spent a month in Ukraine at KICA completing a pastry course with Tetyana Verbytska and Frank Haasnoot. Her most exciting venture to date was opening Grace Pâtisserie, a pâtisserie & cafe where seasonal ingredients feature in their French pastries.
