Miriam Ungerer

Miriam Ungerer (1928–2015) was an American food writer. For many years she wrote a food column entitled The Long Island Larder. Here first cookbook, Too Hot To Cook, was illustrated by her then husband, Tomi Ungeer. Her second cookbook, Good Cheap Food was illustrated by her daughter, Dominique. Her hero was M.F.K. Fisher, with whom she corresponded.
