Chef Nathaniel Reid is the chef owner of Nathaniel Reid Bakery in Kirkwood, Missouri. At Le Cordon Bleu Paris he earned a Grand Diplôme®, having training in both Culinary and Pastry Arts.Reidspecialises in contemporarybakerycreations including pastries, cakes, confections and sandwiches.
Reid has received several honours thoughout his career. Recently, he was recognised as a 2019 James Beard Foundation semi-finalist in the Outstanding Baker category, as well as being selected as one of the ‘40 under 40’ selection of the St. Louis Business Journals. From his Kouign-amann, selected in the Food & Wine’s Best Bites 2018, to his Guyana cake selected in Delish’s Top Chocolate Desserts in Every State, his creations delight both locals and critics alike. Reid was also recognised as one of the Top 10 Pastry Chefs in America and was nominated Pastry Chef of the Year. He continues to share his culinary talents around the world by judging competitions and teaching classes to other dessert professionals.
