Sarah Mann-Yeager

Sarah Mann-Yeager is a wife, mother, and gin connoisseur. She is a sometime journalist, full-time butcher, baker and candlestick maker. She has been cooking for as long as she can remember, kneeling up on a kitchen stool in her grandma’s kitchen. She is a food tourist, and her palate stretches around the globe. She flinches at the term ‘cultural food appropriation’, as she is a child of the diaspora. We take our food heritage and make it with the ingredients available wherever we end up; using the raw materials of where we live is not appropriation, for without them, we would starve. Travel broadens the mind and wakes up the palate to new and exciting flavours that can and should be incorporated into our lives. She works full time running the family business.
