Şeyda Tomruk’s parents opened a pastry shop in 1995 and really wanted her involved in the business. However, it took 10 years for her to accept the proposal as she was working in the architectural field after graduating from university. Tomruk eventually took over the management of the business but felt she needed to know more about the kitchen - and so began her Le Cordon Bleu journey. She studied pastry in her first year and cuisine in her second year - experiences she feels were invaluable.
