Shahar Garousi was born in Tel Aviv, Israel and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Sydney 10 years ago. Food was the central theme at Jewish holidays and Friday night dinners with the family and he dreamt of becoming a chef from as early as ten years old. As a chef, he believes the most important aspect to bring to the table is culture and tradition. He loves to bring his own interpretation to classic dishes while maintaining the integrity of original flavours and ingredients.
Garousi has studied several programmes at Le Cordon Bleu in Australia, including the Diplôme de Cuisine and Professional Culinary Management. He has worked at Icebergs Dining Room and Bar and Opera Point Events in Australia, as well as The Carlton Tel Aviv Hotel and Rimonim Tower Hotel Tel Aviv. He is currently the Executive Chef at Crowne Plaza in Tel Aviv.
