James Murphy

James Murphy is a British photographer specialising in food. His photographic education was at Gloucester Polytechnic in the pre digital age, studying every aspect of practical and theoretical photography. He now works from his North London studio, as well as traveling to various locations around the world. He has worked with a number of authors over the years at varying stages of both his and their careers, including Delia Smith, Nigel Slater, John Torode, Geraldene Holt, Anton Mosimann, Richard Whittington, Janet Smith and extensively over the last 17 years with Rick Stein. James lives in Cambridgeshire with his wife Sarah, who he met in Gloucester while studying photography, they have three children.
