Nathalie Hambro was born and brought up in Paris. She studied at the Faculty of Law ne ye
and at the Ecole du Louvre, and then worked in film and television production at Publicis, a leading advertising agency in Paris. She married a member of the
Hambro banking family, moved to England in 1971 and began her own interior design business, concentrating on private homes in London and restoration work > -
in country houses in France. Her first cookery book, Particular Delights, was published in 1981 and was received with considerable critical | eo
acclaim. She also wrote for the Sunday Times, Harpers & Queen and the Tatler, and contributed to photographer Robert Fresson’s book Taste of France.
