  • 1 can or bottle of peas
  • butter or margarine
  • sprig of mint
  • sugar


Strain the peas and rinse them well. Melt ½–1 oz. butter or margarine in a saucepan (the amount depends upon the size of the can of peas). Add a sprig of mint, the peas, salt and little sugar. Cover down closely with a butter or margarine paper, then the tightly-fitting lid of the pan. Lea
