Ingredients

  • 4 green peppers
  • butter or margarine or deep fat
  • egg and breadcrumbs (if to be fried in deep fat)

Method

Wash the peppers. Parboil in salted water for 5 min. Drain and cut into strips or rings. Remove seeds and inner partitions. Toss in hot butter or margarine in a frying-pan for 5–10 min. or dip in egg and breadcrumbs and fry in deep fat (360° F.) 5–7 min. Drain well and serve hot.
