Ingredients

  • 4 oz. cold roast beef
  • 1 pickled herring
  • 4 oz. cooked potatoes

Method

Dice the beef, herring, potatoes, apples and beetroot. Mix with the gherkin, capers, herbs and moisten with a little oil and vinegar. Pile in a dish and garnish with hard-boiled egg, anchovy fillets and, if liked, 6 bearded oysters.
