Arrowroot Pudding—Steamed

• 1½ oz. arrowroot
• 1½ pt. milk
• 2 oz.

Mix the arrowroot to a smooth paste with a little of the milk. Boil the remainder of the milk and pour over the arrowroot paste, stirring well. Return to the saucepan, stir, and simmer gently until the mixture thickens. Leave to cool slightly and stir in the flavouring, sugar and well-beaten eggs. Pour into a 2-p
