  • 4 oz. plain flour

Method

Grease a 2-pt. basin. Wash, dry and chop the figs. Mix the flour, suet, breadcrumbs, baking-powder, sugar, salt, nutmeg and figs. Beat the egg with some of the milk and stir into the mixture. Add milk as necessary to make the mixture of a dropping consistency. Put it in the basin; cover. Steam fo
