  • 6 oz. breadcrumbs

Grease a basin and, if liked, put an extra tablesp. of golden syrup in the bottom. Mix together the flour, breadcrumbs, suet, sugar, ginger, bicarbonate of soda and salt. Beat the egg with the golden syrup, treacle and a little of the milk. Stir this into the other ingredients, using more milk if req
