  • 2 oz. breadcrumbs
  • rind of 1 lemon
  • ½ lb.

Method

Divide the suet pastry into two equal portions, using one portion to line a 2-pt. basin. From the other portion cut off enough to make the lid; roll out the remainder thinly.

Mix the breadcrumbs and grated lemon rind. Put a layer of treacle in the basin; sprinkle well with the breadcrumbs
