  • 8 oz. plain flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 oz.

Method

Butter a pie-dish. Mix sifted flour, salt and baking-powder with the sugar, suet, sultanas and raisins. Beat the egg with some of the milk and add to the mixture. Mix to a soft dropping consistency, adding more milk if necessary. Put into the pie-dish. Bake in a moderate oven (350° F., Gas 4) for 1–1¼hr.
