Lemon Sherbet

Sorbet

Time—1–1½ hr.

Ingredients

  • 1 pt. water
  • 8 oz. loaf sugar
  • ½ pt. lemon juice
  • 2 egg whites

Method

Dissolve the sugar in the water. Boil it for 10 min., strain and cool. Add the lemon juice and the stiffly beaten egg whites. Freeze and serve at once.
