• 1 teasp. bicarbonate of soda=
• 1 rounded teasp.
• 1 teasp. cream of tartar

For accuracy it is wise to measure in level teaspoons so that 1 rounded teaspoonful of bicarbonate of soda will be 2 level ones. The addition of too much soda gives an unpleasant taste, smell and colour.
