Method

Put the flour and sugar in a pile on a pastry-board. Gradually knead the sugared flour into the butter with the hand. It is important not to let the butter become broken up. When a firm dough is formed, roll out and shape into a cake about 1 in. high. Decorate the edges by marking with a fork or flutin
